Techno without a laptop, rave without a DJ booth: For years, BRANDT BRAUER FRICK have been among the most exciting pioneers bridging club culture, minimal music, and contemporary classical. The Berlin trio translates electronic dance music into a completely analog live experience – with piano, percussion, strings, brass, and a precision that is simultaneously highly complex and utterly physical. Sometimes three musicians are on stage, sometimes the project expands into a large ensemble with up to ten people. Their concerts feel less like a classical concert and more like a hypnotic pull between a concert hall and a sweaty techno club. The British newspaper *The Guardian* described their music as “minimalist techno engineered with orchestral instruments,” while other media speak of “Techno without technology.”

International festival appearances at Coachella, Sonar, Montreux Jazz, or Berghain have long shown that BRANDT BRAUER FRICK work equally well in clubs and theaters. Anyone who loves repetitive beats, driving rhythms, and unusual live setups will find a band here that completely rethinks the rules of electronic music.

DATSCHENKONZERTE

is an open-air concert series that has been taking place at DATSCHE since 2015. Responsible for booking are: MUSIKKOMBINAT, the FETTE BEUTE crew, SWING39, and PETRICHOR BOOKING. They invite regional, national, and international bands and solo acts from various genres such as Pop, Indie, HipHop, Electronica, Soul, Latin, Rock, and many more. Shows usually take place on Fridays from ~8 PM.

Notable acts have performed, including Clueso, Parcels, Trettmann, Erobique, Rikas, Guacáyo, JPattersson, Carla Ahad, Karmic, Sophia Kennedy, Sean Koch, Ankathie Koi, Say Yes Dog, Acht eimer Hühnerherzen, Dekker, Pool, Tijuana Cartel, SkaZka Orchestra, Äl Jawala, Paulinko, and many more.
