UKULELE DEATH SQUAD impressively prove that four voices and one ukulele are perfectly sufficient to make an audience go wild. The Australian band combines indie-folk, punk energy, and brilliant vocal arrangements into a show full of humor, dynamism, and surprising twists. Although the ukulele is at the center, the band often sounds bigger live than many a rock ensemble. Their concerts constantly switch between delicate harmonies, absurd announcements, and sudden bursts of energy. The audience regularly becomes part of the show – through sing-alongs, call-and-response moments, or spontaneous interactions. International festival appearances have earned them the reputation of being one of the most entertaining live bands in their genre. Charming, chaotic, and musically impressive all at once.

DATSCHE CONCERTS

is an open-air concert series taking place at the DATSCHE since 2015. Booking is handled by: MUSIKKOMBINAT, the FETTE BEUTE crew, SWING39, and PETRICHOR BOOKING. They invite regional, national, and international bands and solo acts from various genres such as Pop, Indie, HipHop, Electronica, Soul, Latin, Rock, and many more. Shows usually take place on Fridays from around 8 PM.

Notable acts have performed, including Clueso, Parcels, Trettmann, Erobique, Rikas, Guacáyo, JPattersson, Carla Ahad, Karmic, Sophia Kennedy, Sean Koch, Ankathie Koi, Say Yes Dog, Acht eimer Hühnerherzen, Dekker, Pool, Tijuana Cartel, SkaZka Orchestra, Äl Jawala, Paulinko, and many more.
